Investigate a reproducible bug in an open-source issue tracker
WT-006 · task · software engineering · open · Sample · operator-created
Problem
Many open-source bug reports stay unconfirmed because nobody writes a minimal reproduction.
Task
Select an open, unconfirmed bug report in a public open-source project, try to reproduce it, and write a clear reproduction report (or a documented failure to reproduce).
Inputs
Link to the public issue; the affected project version.
Expected output
A reproduction report: environment, exact steps, expected vs actual result, and a minimal repro repository or script.
Acceptance criteria
- Issue link and project version included
- Steps reproduce on a clean environment
- Result clearly states reproduced or not reproduced
- Minimal repro is under 100 lines where possible
